Fairmount CDC seeks Business Services & Membership Manager

Qualifications:

  • Experience with direct service or sales a plus
  • Experience with account management a plus
  • Residence around 19130 preferred
  • Experience organizing events
  • Experience working with people from diverse backgrounds
  • Must have good working knowledge of Google Docs, and CRM system

Requirements:

  • Cold Calling: This position is 85% inside sales and 100% new business development
  • Prospecting: A successful candidate will generate his/her own leads every day
  • Qualifying Leads: Finding the decision maker and overcoming objections are essential to success
  • Must enjoy talking to neighbors and business owners, but also be able to listen and take note of feedback
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Flexibility and willingness to work around business owner’s schedules
  • Willingness to walk/bike/bus around the neighborhood
  • Must be available to work evenings and weekends as needed

Business Services Management: Greater Art Museum Business Alliance (GAMBA)

Membership Management

  • Sell membership packages to businesses in the Greater Art Museum Area
  • Maintain an active prospect database & lead pipeline using Neon CRM
  • Achieve and surpass set quotas and goals
  • Develop strategies and plans to achieve goals
  • Increase overall sales as well as value per sale

Administration

  • Continually evaluate programs for relevancy and effectiveness.
  • Establishes efficient work processes and produces agreed upon reports for senior management.
  • Provide data for written reports requested by city, state, or federal funding sources.

GAMBA Events

  • Organize and promote monthly networking events, work with GAMBA members to solicit monthly hosts
  • Find relevant presenters to host quarterly continuing education workshops
  • Organize an Annual Business Resource Fair
  • Brainstorm and execute events that support GAMBA segments

Connect with and understand city resources and other CDC structures

  • Attend monthly meetings for PACDC and other appropriate meetings
  • Network with other Biz Assoc Managers to learn best practices around association management
  • Learn and understand process for city programs
  • Commerce Department programs
  • Basic permits for vendors and food sales

Event Management

  • Manage overall event operation of:
  • Arts Crawl
  • Food Fight
  • Girard Avenue Festival
  • Work with Communication Coordinator on marketing plan, sponsor and vendor participation, raffle needs, and Surveys\
