New Kensington CDC (NKCDC) and Impact Services have developed a trauma-informed community engagement curriculum that needs layout and design work. The curriculum will be used by professionals and community members, so needs to be an easily understood and visually cohesive product. The curriculum consists of lesson plans for facilitators, handouts and a “toolkit,” which is intended to be a stand-alone product that participants can carry with them and utilize separately. Design should take into account both print and web accessible versions.
The curriculum consists of six modules including (1) The Connected Community, (2) Exploring Stress, Trauma, Recovery & Growth, (3) SELF and Neighborhood Engagement, (4) Leadership, (5) Identity and Power, (6) Envisioning Future. NKCDC and Impact Services will provide working slide decks used to teach the curriculum as a reference.
