City of Philadelphia, Office of Community Empowerment and Opportunity seeks Promise Corps College and Career Site Supervisor

The Office of Community Empowerment and Opportunity (CEO) provides leadership on issues of economic justice by advancing racial equity and inclusive growth to ensure that all Philadelphians share in the city’s prosperous future and by alleviating the immediate impact of poverty on individuals, families and communities.  CEO is Philadelphia’s Community Action Agency (CAA); CAAs are private or public agencies created by the 1964 Economic Opportunity Act and federally designated to receive Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) funding.

Position Overview:

CEO is seeking a Promise Corps College & Career Site Supervisor for program planning and implementation located at multiple high schools in Philadelphia. The Site Supervisor provides day-to-day leadership of their schools’ AmeriCorps College and Career Coaches, oversees program implementation, and develops and maintains school relations. They provide information and recommendations to staff in regard to the supervision of corps members. They maintain strong working relationships with principals, counselors, and other school staff. Duties include direct management of 10+ people, administrative support, program planning, program support, partnership building, data management and maintaining evaluation records. This person would also be responsible for implementing outreach and engagement strategies for youth and families in the Promise Corps program and for recruitment efforts of AmeriCorps members. This position reports to the Promise Corps Manager.
