City of Philadelphia seeks Program Manager, Citizen’s Planning Institute

Organizational Overview: 

The Philadelphia City Planning Commission (PCPC) is one agency within the Department of Planning and Development, and includes the Citizens Planning Institute (CPI) as a means of educating and empowering the public. PCPC staff updates the city’s comprehensive plan and weighs in on decisions related to the built environment of the city, all with continued engagement with the public. CPI staff coordinates with PCPC, and runs programs that educate community members to engage with city, to have a voice in decisions that affect their neighborhoods, and to collaborate with their neighbors to lead their own successful projects.

Position Overview:

The Program Manager position is responsible for managing the day to day operations of the Citizens Planning Institute. The position will assist the Director of CPI in developing policies to enhance the CPI program and to advance initiatives identified in its five-year program. The position reports to the Director of the Citizens Planning Institute.
