Since its founding 13 years ago, Community Capacity Builders has established a reputation for implementing effective strategies to engage residents and stakeholders in advancing community-based, non-profit, and government initiatives. CCB has led or supported neighborhood planning, outreach, and facilitation activities that inform neighborhood revitalization, public safety, health, early childhood education, equitable development, workforce, environmental, and youth-focused programs in local, regional, and national contexts.
Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a motivated and creative Project Coordinator to join our team full-time. The Project Coordinator will develop and deliver creative engagement and public participation processes to ensure diverse stakeholders are involved in making decisions about the future of their communities. This may include producing and disseminating accessible outreach materials, customizing engagement activities to center community voices, and evaluating feedback.
The Project Coordinator will also be involved in CCB’s organizational capacity-building work to support community-based organizations develop back-end operations, build skills, and create strategic plans. In collaboration with CCB’s tight-knit team, the Project Coordinator will help design and facilitate workshops, assessments, and strategic planning sessions for a variety of organizations. Community Capacity Builders believes it is critical to meet partners where they’re at and to collaborate with people and organizations to understand the best ways to support them and grow their impact.
The Project Coordinator will support with managing projects in an organized and effective manner. They will develop implementation plans, collaborate with partners and clients, create budgets and schedules, communicate challenges and progress, and adapt to changes. This role may also involve identifying new business opportunities, promoting the organization to potential partners, and developing proposals with team members.
This is a remote position with regular in-person meetings and events in Philadelphia. This position requires working occasional evenings and weekends, but CCB’s flexible time policy ensures employees can maintain a work/life balance.
