Through our creative and iterative approach, we incorporate education and intentionally-designed interactions to ensure these processes are inclusive, accessible, and representative.
Project & Role Description:
SEPTA is working on their first ever comprehensive bus system update. This effort is called “New Bus Network” and will be implemented in phases starting on August 23, 2026. SEPTA used ridership and travel data and public feedback collected over multiple years to inform the changes. The changes include new routes, frequency improvements, route extensions and changes, and some route eliminations across the SEPTA bus network. CtD is supporting SEPTA in spreading the word and making sure as many riders as possible know about the changes before they start. To do so, CtD will be hosting pop-ups at transit centers across Philadelphia from August 1st through mid September. The pop-ups are in-person tabling events designed to meet riders where they already are to share about the bus network changes. Role Description CtD is seeking engaging, community-focused staff to support the project’s outreach efforts. The street team role is a temporary contractor (W-9) role to staff pop-ups. The majority of the pop-ups will take place between August 1st and August 30th, with some flexibility for pop-ups to be rescheduled into September for inclement weather.
