Frankford CDC seeks Rental Assistance Program Coordinator

Founded in 1988, Rebuilding Together Philadelphia (RTP) is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to repair homes, revitalize communities, and rebuild lives. RTP transforms the lives of low-income Philadelphians by improving the safety and health of their homes and revitalizing our communities. RTP provides free critical home repairs, aging-in-place modifications, and workforce training. Every year, Rebuilding Together Philadelphia repairs more than 100 homes with over 1,000 volunteers through our Block Build program, Asthma Trigger Reduction Program and Middle Neighborhoods Initiative. Position Overview:

The Rental Assistance Coordinator will be responsible for guiding residents through the process of applying for Rental Assistance. This may range from assisting residents to complete the application, reviewing applications, and forwarding applications to the City. The Rental Assistance Coordinator will be expected to be available by phone and email during designated hours (3 days/wk, 6 hrs/day). Necessary skills include Microsoft Word, scanning, copying, and email. Candidates must be able to work remotely in addition to limited in-person hours for handling paperwork. The City will provide additional training on the specifics of the Rental Assistance Program. Bilingual (English and Spanish) would be a benefit but is not necessary.

Compensation: $15.00/hr
