Position Overview:
This is technical field work of limited scope and difficulty applying mathematics and technical engineering knowledge to the inspecting of public works construction projects to assure work performed by contractors complies with contracts, plans and specifications and meets current standards for work quality. An employee in this class is responsible for interpreting construction and contract requirements and for informing contractors and supervisors of non-conformity with contractual agreements and construction violations. Work is performed under the supervision of a higher-level technical supervisor.
