“Abolition is not absence. It’s presence. What the world will become already exists in fragments and pieces, experiments and possibilities.” – Ruth Wilson Gilmore
In the 2021 edition of PACDC Magazine, we will explore the fragments, pieces, experiments, and possibilities that lay the groundwork for the world to come.
To complement and complete written pieces, we also hope to highlight short prose, poetry, and visual art in this publication. Publication release will be Thursday, April 22, 2020 at PACDC’s Virtual Gala and Awards Ceremony.

Stipend
We will issue a $250 stipend for selected submissions to honor the expense of your time and talent, but we recognize that this could never be commensurate. Please feel free to contact us prior to creating an original piece for the magazine. We will also happily reprint existing work.
Materials Release
We will ask you to sign a standard materials release form, but most importantly, PACDC claims no ownership of selected work. Questions? Direct all questions via email to Zakya Hall at zhall@pacdc.org
