Learning on the Go: Philly CDCs Visit Washington D.C.’s 11th Street Bridge Park

Join PACDC and Building Bridges Across the River (BBAR) to learn how one organization is working to bake equity into Washington, D.C.’s first elevated public park. The day will include an introduction to BBAR and the 11th Street Bridge Park, a tour of the Town Hall Education Arts Recreation Campus, a tour of the Bridge Park site, and of course, lunch!

National Consortium for Creative Placemaking presents Creative Placemaking Leadership Workshops

Learn how to take inventory of creative assets and map them. Explore how local zoning and regulation helps or hinders creative activity. Sharpen your pitch-making skills to gain funding from untapped sources. Harness your creativity to engage your community.

Iron Sharpens Iron: Training and Support for Emerging Community Leaders 

Join us at Iron Sharpens Iron to gain valuable tools to expand youth influence over decision making that shapes our communities. Lunch will be served! Topics include:

Philadelphia Health + Housing Summit

A first for Philadelphia, this all day Summit will bring together health leaders from across the country to share with civic leaders, health practioners, and government officials replicable models for health actors, nonprofits, and local government to partner together to address a range of housing needs.

Speakers such as Dr. Kelly Kelleher of Nationwide Children’s Hospital and Sister Mary Scullion of Project HOME will kick off a full day of programming aiming to advance the dialogue of health and housing in our region, and to learn how both housing providers and health providers can help each other achieve their missions.
