Webinar: Residential Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE): An Unnecessary and Dangerous Product

This is a Webinar
Sep 15, 2017 12:00pm - 1:00pm

On Friday, September 15th The Housing Alliance of Pennsylvania will be running a webinar on Residential Property Asses Clean Energy (PACE) loans.  PACE loans are used to finance energy efficiency, renewable and other home improvement projects and result in a tax assessment lien repaid through the tax collection system.  These loans are typically very high cost both at origination and throughout life of the loan.  Legislation has been introduced in the General Assembly that would bring this risky product to Pennsylvania.

On this webinar, advocates from the Pennsylvania Utility Law Project, the National Consumer Law Center, and Community Legal Services will discuss the dangers of residential PACE products and why Pennsylvania should not enable PACE financing for residential mass market consumers.

Presenters:

Patrick Cicero – Executive Director, Pennsylvania Utility Law Project
Charlie Harak – Senior Staff Attorney, National Consumer Law Center
Kerry Smith – Staff Attorney, Community Legal Services
