Francisville Green Projects: Come See the Plans, Provide Input

Francisville NDC
Jan 22, 2018 6:00pm - 7:00pm

Want to learn about green upgrades planned for streets in the Francisville area? Be sure to come 30 minutes early for the Francisville NDC January meeting!

The Philadelphia Water Department will speak at 6:30 p.m. (just before the regular FNDC business starts at 7 p.m.) to preview plans for green stormwater improvements on streets around the Francisville Playground and Recreation Center:

-Fairmount Ave. (between Uber and 15th)
-Francis St. (between Shirley and 17th)
-North 15th Street
-North 18th Street
-Shirley Street
-Brown Street

Residents are encouraged to attend this meeting to review the design plans and provide input.

The projects being designed are a part of Philadelphia’s nationally recognized Green City, Clean Waters program, which uses landscaped green tools to protect local waterways from stormwater pollution and improve neighborhoods.

Residents can help shape these green stormwater tools by providing information about what types of trees and plants they prefer and letting engineers and planners know more about how local streets and parks are used.

This is a rain-or-shine event.
