Painting a Picture of a More Diverse & Inclusive Arts and Cultural Workforce

The African American Museum in Philadelphia
Mar 07, 2019 9:00am - 11:00am

The future health of arts and culture organizations and their ability to contribute to the vibrancy of their communities depends, in part, on their being relevant and appealing to the broadest cross-section of the community. Our residents represent a rich tapestry of diversity in the broadest sense of the term. To that end, cultural organizations should continue, and in some cases begin, to translate conversations into creative ideas about staffing that represents the communities they serve.

As part of our ongoing Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI)Initiative, join the Cultural Alliance, along with local and regional thought leaders, as they discuss and share best practices in DEI. During this rich and robust conversation, plan to hear and learn about ways that your arts and cultural organization can begin or continue to build practices, establish talent pipelines and discuss innovative ways to further diversify your workforce. If ticket price is a barrier to your participation, please contact Lauren Gilmore as indicated below regarding scholarship details.
