Through advocacy and education, the Bicycle Coalition of Greater Philadelphia leads the movement to make bicycling a safe and fun way to get around for anyone in Greater Philadelphia.
Position Overview:
The Better Bike Share Educator position is a seasonal position (up to 4 positions available) housed at the Bicycle Coalition of Greater Philadelphia (BCGP) and supports the work of the Better Bike Share Partnership (BBSP), which includes Indego Bike Share.
The position will work specifically to engage communities within the Indego bike share service area. The Bike Share Classes and Ride Support team member reports to the Education Programs Manager. This person will spend time supporting classes and rides, outdoors, and on weekends and evenings. The Better Bike Share Partnership is a collaboration between the City of Philadelphia, Indego bike share, the National Association for Transportation Officials (NACTO), People for Bikes, and the Bicycle Coalition of Greater Philadelphia. Started in 2014, BBSP’s mission is to build equitable and replicable bike share systems across the country, with Philadelphia as a central location for testing and learning best practices.
