Rock to the Future is seeking a full time Marketing Coordinator

Title: Marketing Coordinator

Commitment: 40 Hours/Week

Compensation: $45,000.00 – $53,000.00/ year plus medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 403b retirement plan, short term + long term disability, paid time off, and paid holidays

Job Reports to: Operations Manager

Rock to the Future is a nonprofit organization that equips Philadelphia youth with life skills to support current and lifelong well-being through free, student-driven music programs. We serve 1,000+ young people each year in schools, community locations, and the juvenile justice system. We are hiring a full-time Marketing Coordinator to raise Rock to the Future’s visibility and public awareness through a variety of methods including social media, press, web presences, events, and other digital and traditional marketing. Help us tell our story and share our mission to external audiences! This Is a hybrid position, primarily remote with in-person events and site visitations required.

Essential Functions:

  • Work with program and fundraising teams to create, implement, and analyze marketing strategies to support organization goals

  • Manage social media platforms including creating content and engaging with audiences

  • Lead press outreach and media relationships including writing press releases, scheduling interviews, and identifying outlets

  • Promote events and programs on online platforms

  • Attend all student performances and represent Rock to the Future

  • Manage Google Adwords and Analytics account

  • Organize assets and collateral including photos and videos

  • Create and send newsletter and text message communications

  • Support the creation and coordination of marketing collateral

  • Support direct mailing campaigns

  • Monitoring our general phone line and email; responding and routing incoming messages as needed

  • Explore paid, traded, and donated advertising, media, and promotion opportunities

  • Identify, attend, and coordinate staffing for events and tabling opportunities

  • Support key program and fundraising events throughout the year

  • Provide monthly updates at team meetings

  • Lead bi-weely team marketing meetings and other marketing planning meetings

Skills Required:

  • 2 years prior experience in the field of marketing and/or communications

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail

  • Excellent project management and time management skills

  • Proficiency with Google Workspace (documents, sheets, presentations) or equivalent softwares

  • Proficiency with Canva and/or other graphic design softwares.

  • Strong willingness to learn new skills to support marketing and communication needs

  • Must be able to attend occasional evening and weekend events

  • Must reside in Philadelphia County
