Next City is engaged in a campaign to raise visibility, build new partnerships, and increase overall funding for the nonprofit journalism organization. This role will be critical in organizing and managing Next City’s day-to-day fundraising efforts and implementation of the campaign. The position reports to the Executive Director.
Responsibilities Overview:
– Manage overall fundraising process, implementing the organization’s strategy.
– Research funders and influencers to identify key contacts and priorities.
– Conduct initial and ongoing outreach to funders and partners.
– Assist team in scheduling and executing meetings with partners and key contacts.
– Write and submit letters of interest and proposals.
