Germantown United Community Development Corporation (GUCDC) is a nonprofit organization serving the Germantown neighborhood of Philadelphia (zip codes: 19144 and 19138). GUCDC’s mission is to promote and facilitate the revitalization of Germantown and its business corridors through a sustainable, creative, and community-driven approach to economic development. Through commercial corridor revitalization and neighborhood economic development, GUCDC works towards its vision of a Germantown community that embraces and builds upon its rich diversity of residents, local businesses, and institutions engaged in and committed to equitable development.
Position Overview:
The NAC Program Manager will organize and implement all day-to-day activities outlined in GUCDC’s operational plan and required of NAC’s under contract with the City. Priorities include: preserving housing; preventing tax and mortgage foreclosure; promotion of home repair, property tax, and utility assistance resources; financial and housing counseling; neighborhood sustainability; workforce development and economic opportunities; and promotion of resident participation in City planning initiatives, capital projects, and other community improvement activities.
